Quien somos

Entonces me pregunto...¿quién somos?
Who we are

So I ask myself the question...Who are we?
When we are children everything seems to be beautiful, big and amazing, we want to discover all, we are full of dreams and nothing is imposible to rich. It's hard to find the exact point on our lives when all of the sudden everything changes, but we do know that when we grow up, when we begin to became young adults many things does. Not just our bodies change, but ours souls too. We start doubting, we loose faith; for some reason it no longer seems to be evertything wonderful. We experience anguish and for the very fist time we feel alone, trapped somewhere, and curiosly we feel smaller.
We've changed, innocence is confused with stupidity. The rhythm of life speeds up so we try to catch it, leaving some people behind.
Perhaps the one thing growing up has in common with childhood is the sensation of feeling afraid. Fear is lihat's the way life is, and because is the only the thing we know we hold on to it. We are afraid of commitment, tke the most ancient human feeling. We experience it through lifetime in so many different ways and at so many levels. They say the first traumatic experience is birth, the arrive from our mother's matrix into the wild world. We've been fed, warmed and gently protected for around nine months till suddenly we are pushed to a cold and harsh environment where everything's unknown. That's the fist time life forces us tu adapt and maybe that's the first time we fear. After that no wonder why we became so screw up sometimes... But that's the way life is, and because it's the only thing we know, we hold on to it. We fear commitment, to share part of our selves with others cause it make us feel vulnerables, we are afraid of not being accepted cause we need to feel part of something, we are afraid to fail cause we live in a competitive world, we are afraid of loving, because we know we can get hurted, we are afraid to end up alone, cause we've born to live in community, but most of all we are afraid of change. Changes shakes us in a way nothing else can, it moves our little world and allow us to show our finest quality: the hability to adapt, the chance to survive the change, to embrace it and to move on, hoping we won't have to face another change, but secretly knowing it'll be plenty of them in the future.
